Let me guess. You're already ready to quit your New Year's resolution. Don't.

I know. It's fucking hard.

I'm on day four of 365 of posting every day and I'm already doubting myself. I'm ready to quit right now. The voice in my head is telling me this is stupid. That nobody cares. That I should just stop.

But I'm not going to. And neither should you.

Why We Want to Quit So Fast

Here's the thing. Our brains are wired for comfort. We like routine. We like predictability. We like knowing what's coming next.

Anything that forces you to step out of the norm is difficult at first. That's just how it works. It's not a character flaw. It's not weakness. It's biology.

Your brain sees change as a threat. So it resists. It makes you uncomfortable. It whispers doubts. It tells you to go back to what's familiar.

And most people listen.

The First Two Weeks Are Where Everyone Quits

Here's what most people don't realize. The first two weeks are the hardest. That's where everyone quits.

Exercise. Writing. Building a business. Learning a new skill. Any new task you want to commit to. The first two weeks suck.

You're not seeing results yet. You're not feeling the benefits yet. You're just feeling the discomfort of doing something different.

So you quit.

You tell yourself it wasn't meant to be. That you'll try again later. That maybe you're just not cut out for it.

But that's not true.

It Gets Easier

Once you get past those first two weeks, something changes. It becomes routine. It becomes easier. It becomes your new comfort zone.

Your brain stops fighting you. It starts accepting this new thing as normal. The resistance fades.

And suddenly, the thing that felt impossible on day four feels manageable on day twenty.

Don't Be Most People

So if you're starting a New Year's resolution to work out every day, write every day, build something every day, or whatever it is that you want to do that's different and takes you out of your comfort zone, keep at it.

Because there's a point where it clicks. You just have to get there.

Most people quit before they reach it. They give up on day three, day seven, day ten. They never make it to the other side where it gets easier.

Don't be most people.

Day Four of 365

I'm on day four right now. I want to quit. But I'm not going to.

Because I know what happens if I stick with it. I've done this before with other things. I know the pattern.

The first two weeks are brutal. Then it gets easier. Then it becomes who you are.

So let's do this. Together.

Don't quit yet.
